Locations on the map are, from high to low number of missions: Lebanon 199, (UNIFIL), Israel / Golan Heights 164 (UNDOF 151 & UNTSO 13), Mediterranean 60 (LÉ Samuel Becket), Belgium 13 (European Union Military Staff), Kosovo 12 (KFOR), Mali 10 (EUTM), France 10 (German-led EU Battlegroup), Bosnia and Herzegovina 8 (EU BiH 7 & OSCE 1), Afghanistan 7 (Nato RSM), United Kingdom 5 (UK-led EU Battlegroup), Democratic Republic of Congo 4 (Monusco), Western Sahara 3 (MINURSO), Austria 2 (OSCE), Ivory Coast 2 (ONUCI) and lastly United States 1 (United Nations, New York).

On the bottom of the map, the definitions can be found for the missions mentioned per country above. Some of these include KFOR, standing for the Nato’s Kosovo Force, EURM standing for European Union Training Mission,
