A central hub for all mapping projects

The dashboard in Mapcreator Next serves as your main workspace. It’s designed to provide a clear overview of all your mapping projects and make navigation as seamless as possible. At the core of this new layout are three key sections:

  • My maps, which displays all the mapping projects you’ve created.
  • Team maps, where shared projects from your team are conveniently grouped.
  • Custom folders, a flexible option that allows you to create your own categories for organizing projects.

This setup ensures that everything is neatly organized and easy to find. Whether you’re working on a solo project, working in a team, or using map templates, everything you need is right there.

Simplified folder management and map templates

Managing multiple projects can be a challenge, especially when you’re juggling different clients, campaigns, or themes. With Mapcreator Next, you have the tools to organize your work efficiently. The ability to create custom folders means you can structure your workspace in a way that works best for you. For instance, you might create folders for specific map types, projects, or even personal archives.

One particularly useful feature is the ability to use folders for templates. By creating a folder named “Templates,” you can save commonly used map layouts and duplicate them whenever you need a fresh starting point. This eliminates the need to recreate designs from scratch, saving time and effort.

If you want to prioritize specific projects, the star feature allows you to highlight important or frequently used maps. Starred projects are visually marked, making them easier to find when you return to your dashboard. You can also sort your projects by starred maps, to always have these on top.

Finding what you need with ease

As your project library grows, searching and sorting become essential tools. The dashboard includes a search bar where you can quickly locate maps by typing in a project name or keyword. Additionally, sorting options make it easy to rearrange your projects based on criteria like the date they were last viewed, alphabetical order, or when they were created. You can also sort maps by starred projects or downloaded maps, giving you even more control over how you manage your workspace. These tools are designed to make sure you can focus on your work without getting bogged down in navigating long lists of projects.
