The South Florida Sun Sentinel – Roads narrowing in Fort Lauderdale

Various lines are added on the map, either in green or red. The green lines refer to road narrowing projects that have been completed, while the red refer to those that are planned or under construction.

Some of the location labels on the map include Oakland Park, Soroka Shores, Sunrise Key, Nurmi Isles, Lazy Lake, Middle River, Washington Park, Lake Emerald, Wilton Manors, Coral Heights and the Atlantic Ocean.

The goal of these changes, as explained under the map, is to have fewer lanes for slower traffic and greater safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
