These images are three maps showcasing the sequence of deadly attacks that occurred in Paris on November 13, 2015.
The first map, on the top left, zoomed out of the location of the attacks, visualizing where the attacks close to Paris, France were taking place. Landmarks like the Eiffel tower and Mntemarte are added to the map. Two areas are highlighted here, Bastille – which the map below is based on, and another location above. The map on the right focuses on the second location marked. A scale bar representing 1 km or 1 mile has been added to the map.
The map on the right, focussing on the locations of the deadly attacks show the three bombings in order, along with the time and the number of deaths. There is also a street label and location label. Lastly there is a scale bar for 300 meters or 1,000 ft.
The last map below marks the attack locations across Paris which include “Le Carillon, Le Petit Cambodge restaurants”, “Bataclan Concert Hall”, “La Belle Equipe Restaurant”, “La Bonne Biere Restaurant” and “Comptoire Voltaire”. Here the scale bar reads 600 meters or 2.000 ft. Street labels are added alongside other location labels.
For both maps including the attacks, the location is marked with a number and fitted with detailed information including the specific time of the attacks and the number of people, dead and injured, at the scene. The number and time are marked in pink, the location in bold.
