Bild – Map of the Brussels Terrorist attack

The image is a detailed map of the Brussels Terrorist attack. This map shows the aftermath of the explosions on March 22, 2016. The map marks that dozens were dead and injured after the attacks on the airport and subway.

On top of the original map a circle is added including a satellite imagery map, marking the location of Brussels Zaventem airport, where two explosions happened around 8 a.m. The explosion is also marked with an icon, as well is the airport itself. The red text box explains what happened. The second red text box marks the other explosion which happened later that day around 9:10 a.m., in Metro Station Maelbeek. The explosion is once again marked with an icon, as well as the important landmark of the European Parliament.

Other markings on the map include the Hauptbahnhof, (the central station), the NATO-headquarters and the Atomium. Areas like Stadt Brussel and Molenbeek are also marked.

Annotations on the map include the scale at the bottom right, indicating a distance of 1 kilometer.
